Squad Watch: Week 7. Łukasz Piszczek Or Łukasz P.?
Łukasz Piszczek is the most prominent player so far accused in the match fixing scandal in the Ekstraklasa. He was a part of the Zagłębie team that agreed a draw with Cracovia at the end of the 2005/06 season. Though Piszczek was not one of the organizers of the transaction, he’s now the Polish player who’s most associated with the corruption. Now he considers resignation from representing Poland and playing in Euro 2012. This is the problem with no easy solution; Franz Smuda has so far refrained to make a clear comment.

Squad Watch: Week 9. Stadiums Closed Until Further Notice.
It seems that there are only idiots in Polish football. And no, this time I’m not talking about Smuda and his associates. The idiots are the ones involved in the fights after the Polish Cup final in Bydgoszcz and the ones who, as a result, decided to close the stadiums in Poznań ... [read more]

The Munich Philharmonic's Ode To Bayern

Jose Mourinho Does "Who? Me?" Better Than Anyone
During this evening's Copa del Rey final, won by Atletico Madrid in extra time at the Bernabeu (big win, that one), Jose Mourinho and Cristiano Ronaldo were both sent off. The latter was unjustified, though Cristiano probably could've been sent off for kicking Juanfran off the ball earlier, and there's ...
