Piotr Brozek was supposed to be the weakest link in Wisla's defence, a natural winger (he even started his career as a striker) who plays as a left back by accident, but he proved everybody wrong. A couple of good displays in the UEFA Cup and Leo will have to call him up. As for Skorza, the best thing is that we can easily see his influence on the pitch. The team is organised tactically and doesn't leave much to pure luck or chaos as a lot of Polish teams do. Currently we can say the same only about Smuda's Lech.

This was a very proud day for Polish football.

I watched the game and I think one of the broadcasters mentioned that Eto's annual salary is more than that of all the players in the orange ekstraklasa combined.

A big congratulations to Maciej Skorza. I hope that he can build a reputation as one of the better managers in football. Considering his age, the future looks promising. A potential replacement for Beenhakker down the line?

I liked that they were able to play a more fluent style with some kind of passing game.

In Barcelona, the team looking kind of shell shocked. Barca kept pressing with success forcing Wisla to make dumb passes. I guess the atmosphere got the better of them. Thank God it was a different story on our turf.

This was very good experience for Brozek, Lobodzinski, and Boguski. Playing against world class players never hurts and will only raise their level of play. This was a big confidence boost for them getting ready for the qualifiers.

Well, it's nice to have some good news. Winning, even by a single goal, is something to be proud of against Barca playing in Europe. Good for Brozek as well.

yeah, i think the same about piotr brożek, he really was classy yesterday. if he can keep the concentration and determination in other games, our lb problem can be solved surprisingly well.
baszczu was magnificent, a worrior. together with szingler, he shone in the game on the rigth side of the pitch.
but there was also junior diaz, whom i consider a better dm than cantoro. good decision making, bold, and agile. with brozek on the left back, he can stay in the midfield.

disappoitnig performance from łobo and boguski. not the best signal for our nt:/
