Here’s a piece on the true winners and losers of the World Cup: those affected by the movement of millions and billions of Euros around the world in marketing, advertising and the like.
The short list of winners in the World Cup 2006 economic game include adidas, Lufthansa, German hospitality and Durex condoms. Losers: German economic forecasters, most clothing suppliers not named adidas, brothels, and…well, anyone remember Goleo?
