Speaking of passports, apparently Obraniak still needs to submit a couple more documents proving his grandfather's Polish origin... I don't understand why the President doesn't just approve his citizenship, we need him desperately for the NT and it's obvious Obraniak has Polish roots, why are they making him go through this never-ending saga...

Apparently a Brazilian with a Polish passport, Marcelo Dluzniewski is about to sign a four-year contract with Steau Bucharest. AS Roma, Bolton and Everton have also been keeping tabs on him. He was born October 13, 1989 and plays as a midfielder.

Well Fabianski played against Portsmouth today for some reason. Kept a clean sheet, but did make a few mistakes.

I think Janczyk stayed too long at CSKA and he shouldn't return there. It would be good for him to stay at Lokeren on loan for one more season and only then look at options he has. He has the potential to play in the Bundesliga or Eredivisie. I would also like to see him in the nt in the friendlies, much more than Sosin or even Sagan, who failed to score in the last 10 games or so for the Saints. However, there are rumours in Poland that Dawid Nowak from Belchatow is going to be tested. The guy is the biggest striking talent outside the top three clubs and scored six goals in the last seven games.

@gregorio
It wasn't Jodlowiec, it was Wojtkowiak. Jodlowiec gave away a penalty against Ireland. Still, he receives so much praise from all the Ekstraklasa coaches that he should finally become a soild part of the nt or at least be given a chance to do that.

I too would like to see janczyk in the NT soon, mostly because he's a different type of an attacker than brożek and lewandowski. with all three, leo would have a range of options and we could have a strong attack for may years. but i really hope janczyk get transferred to a league better than belgium, which from the highlights seems not a long distance from our ekstraklasa. bundesliga would be perfect IMO, as there is a lot of adventurous attacking play and a very decent level, plus it's pretty close from there to the top european clubs.

as for our veterans supposedly to be axed, i think boruc should be given a long rest, at least a few months.
żewłakow's case is a bit different and I wouldn't like to see leo making a scapegoat out of him. he wasn't the only one crap against the nortern ireland, and I don't think we have classy replacement for him. didn't jodłowiec give wawy a penalty agains san marino last time he played?

I think Janczyk deserves to start one of these upcoming friendlies. Lubanski is working wonders on this kid. If he keeps it up maybe some Dutch, French, or German team will pick him up. Even stay at Lokoreen anything but cska. But the russians are gonna put a pretty high price tag on him so it might be hard for him to transfer out.

I can understand leaving Boruc and Zewlakow at home for these friendlies, these matches should be used to give their back-ups some much-needed experience so that they're ready to step in if there are injuries etc. This is especially important in defense, we really need to start preparing for the future as Zewlakow is getting old. When it's time for the qualifiers, Boruc and Zewlakow will be back in the team, I have no doubt.

Going back to the last thread, I have to agree with the person who suggested that Poles whine a lot. I'm constantly stunned by all the whining I see in the comments section of Polish news articles; even in an article discussing something that should make us happy, the majority of commenters seem to be striving to find some negatives.

For example, a couple months ago, I was reading an article on Bartosz Salamon that suggested he has the potential to be a world-class player. Pretty reasonable, even though he's not a regular starter, he is getting a surprising amount of playing time for someone his age. And Italian sources have been suggesting for almost a year that he has the potential to be a star.

Instead of being happy, the majority of Polish comments was just whining and criticism along the lines of, "if he's so good, why isn't he already playing in Serie A" and "he's not noteworthy at all, there's lots of 17 year olds who are getting playing time in the first team" (that's just false. If you look at a list of the brightest talents in Serie B, the ones in Salamon's age group have usually not even debuted in the first team, only a couple have racked up as many minutes as he has).

This is just an example. Look at pretty much ANY article, the comments section is always dominated by negativity. If there was a World Cup of Whining, Poland would undoubtedly coast to an easy victory. Seems to be the Polish national pastime.
