What Grinds My Gear: Adam Kokoszka TESTED By Empoli.
I really don’t understand this situation. Is this why Adam Kokoszka went to war with Wisla Krakow over the Webster ruling? To be tested by a Serie B club? Unbelievable.
I think Polish national team players should have more dignity. I really thought Kokoszka has some mindblowing offer lined up and that’s why he started this whole conflict with Wisla Krakow. There were rumours about Serie A clubs, most notably AC Torino. Kokos finally landed in Italy, but it was Empoli. Everything would be fine, Serie B is not such a low level, but the reality is that former Wisla player is only tested by the Italians. I repeat; national team member, a guy who played 45 minutes on last Euros and one of the most talented Polish players agreed to be tested by a Serie B club.
Now it seems that starting this whole conflict with Wisla Krakow was really a stupid move by Kokos and his manager. What if he fails the tests in Empoli? I read that they’ll buy Kokoszka only if they sell their own central defender. What’s next? Tests in 2 Bundesliga? Motherwell? Cadiz? Leyton Orient? Why the hell do you resign from playing in the best Polish club when you don’t have an interesting offer on the table. I would only understand such a move if there was a club observing Kokos for a long time, a one that contacted him a lot earlier. Unforunately, reality seems to be different; Kokoszka may now fight to get a contract anywhere and it won’t be easy since he’s a player with unresolved legal status. Well done Kokos, well done.
And that’s what grinds my gear.
