Anyone know why all the fans on both teams leave the match all at once, then come back 2 minutes later?
Not sure, but there was a lot of bad stuff going on in the stands throughout the match, explosions every few minutes, which will not impress UEFA.

It looks like the worst part about the Euros will be the retard fans… The PZPN should take a page out of the French government’s book on the ban of burkas and not allow the fans to over their faces when entering the stadium.
The sad part is that Lech will look for any and every reason to get rid of Bakero; if it hasn’t happened already. How can you blame the manager when you only bring in Slusarski and Uparip after a successful Europa league run? Not much of the blame can be put on Uparip since this is his only first season in the EK, which proved to be a greater challenge than he probably expected. But what is Slusarski’s excuse? Mikolajczak is absolute crap. Rudnevs can’t do it by himself. They refused to pay Peszko what he deserved and failed to replace him. The rest of their stars in the midfield don’t have the same speed or that surprise factor that Peszko delivered. Now they are probably going to miss out on Europe. I still haven’t seen Kaminski play a single minute.
How does a club with the most loses in the Ekstraklasa manage to get a spot into Europe? Be prepared to watch them get bounced by the Champs from San Marino. Is it just me or Skorza is not as good as we all thought?
The Polish authorities just do not get it.
how many “fans” ran onto the field? at least a few hundred & not one was arrested.
Below is a link to an article where the police are requesting a ticket to the game for the Legia “fan” that hit a player & was to be banned from all games.
At the end of the article are photo’s of Legia “fans” stripping players of their jerseys, shorts, shoes!?!?!?
http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,65045,9536929,Puchar_Polski__Policja_prosila_o_bilet_dla__Starucha_.html
The good news for Legia “fans” is that now they will be able to pillage & plunder at least 1 or 2 exotic cities in the EL. And if they are lucky enough & qualify for the group stage(I doubt it) then 3 more cities to pillage. Life is good.
I believe Bakero is a good coach and if Lech fires him it will be their loss.
As far as the fans yesterday..I am glad Poland isn’t a country that would abuse the power of the police. However, they were so restrained that it only seemed to encourage the trouble-makers to find more things to throw. There has to be a better way to enforce discipline at a match or totally innocent people will get hurt for no good reason. Knuckleheads who feel no consequence for their actions need to be arrested and taken away, banned from further matches. There was a guy who was so emboldened, that he came back over the barrier more than once to scream directly in front of the police and throw more bottles at them. He only had the guts to do this because he knew he would get away with it. It looked like a kindergarten gone wild with no teacher in site..
I know and love that football is an emotional game and it is fun to get a bit rowdy for your team, but what I saw yesterday has me concerned for 2012.
Looks like the Government is taking some action against the Hooligans:
And another article:
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/05/04/us-soccer-europe-poland-hooliganism-idUSTRE7434MD20110504
Sorry for the multiple posts everyone, but I think these are articles that should be of great interest to us right now.
http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/regions/europe/poland/110502/poland-euro-2012-hooligans
I don’t think the hooligans are going to be much of a factor during the Euros. I’m sure tickets are much more expensive than they are for Polish Cup/league games, no?
Spk – thanks for the links, the 3rd article from the Global Post is a very good article it nails it right on the head (along with marty). The stadiums will be the safest place. If there is any trouble it will be subdued very easily & quickly because the scumbags will not have the numbers to cause trouble.
“there is little danger of fights in stands during Euro 2012, because the tickets to the tournaments are being distributed by auction, which makes it impossible for gangs to take control of part of the stadium. Instead, the danger is what happens to peaceful fans from across Europe when they leave the stadium and venture out onto the streets.”
I feel sorry for the fans from other countries that will run into these scumbags in the streets.
I hope those hooligans stay in the forests, hahaha

hooligans are in no way worthy of forests or any other natural area – they are trash and should live with the waste. Sorry, had to stickup for the environment.

Im guessing u guys heard Poland set up a date with Argentina? Its gonna be a few days before the france game, and its not gonna be argentinas first team, itll be there B team, but still there B team players compose of players playing regularly for Villareal and Man city among other top clubs so itll still be a huge task and challenge for Poland.

Jelen to Dortmund? Let’s hope so!
Paradowski – I’m in St. Louis this week any good restaurant recommendation near 55 & 270?
JZ, Hi, sorry, been working late. I hear Roberto’s Trattoria is good. http://www.urbanspoon.com/n/28/2724/St-Louis/South-St-Louis-County-restaurants?sort=0. Mostly thinking of Italian that way in south county; they have an Arcobasso’s near by; they used to be in North County where I grew up. If you can get downtown there’s Landry’s Seafood House at Union Station. Sam’s steakhouse on Gravios http://www.samssteakhouse.com/ . Also on Gravois south of downtown is Hodak’s not expansive and best fried chicken. Citizen Kanes SteakHouse in Kirkwood a bit west in south county. Cunetto’s or Zia’a on the hill. You should get a brat or Salsiccia inside a pretzel
at Gus’s right at Arsenal & hwy 55.
The Amsterdam Tavern is the nearest best soccer pub http://amsterdamtavern.com/
Not a restaurant and not near you but just have to say Piekutowski’s European Style Sausage has best Krakow &kielbasa in St. Louis. I’ve heard Pope JP II said it was best he had outside of Poland http://bestof.voiceplaces.com/st-louis/w/best-sausage/2009 Unfortunately they don’t make the Kishka there anymore.

paradowski – thanks for the info,I will look into your recommendations but if I have time I will have to try Piekutowski’s.
I did find Growlers pub on Lindbergh ave , over 100 beers on tap.
Great — the Growlers nearer to me closed down a few months ago.
For Piekutowski’s look at map and bring directions; don’t want to get too turned around in that neighbor, but you’ll be fine. They’re open: Tue-Fri 8-5PM; Saturday & Mon 8-4PM. http://www.yelp.com/biz/piekutowskis-european-style-sausage-saint-louis
