Jelen was treated just like Wichniarek this year. I understand his irritation, but the best thing is to stay quiet and prove on the pitch that you’re better than others. There were different opinions about Jelen from Leo, today I read that he doesn’t have the characteristics Leo is looking for. Maybe Leo called up Jelen to prove himself right and Jelen did nothing to prove him wrong.

Strange move by Jelen (assuming his manager hasn’t been misquoted). While I agree that Leo has treated him unfairly, I don’t think this is the best way to respond…

Anyone know where to find a video of Janota dribbing past those three defenders?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Szalachowski included into the squad soon. Hes back to him pre-injury form, I’d like to see him play some more good games for Legia before a call up.

jeleń must have been screwed up by his manager, i don’t suspect himself of such a decision. but the way leo’s treated him lately really can be irritating. a few months ago beenhakker said he analysed jeleń’s play and all the statistics say he can’t play a lonely st. while quite recently i read irek was out of nt just because of injuries. the only conclusion i can arrive at is that leo sometimes takes decisions not for reasons he claims, but has to find rational justification anyway, so he gives any.
i don’t know, it looked like he’s counting on jeleń, and it’s hard to write him off after the game in lviv.

wichniar has been really impressive, but i don’t believe he’ll get a call up. just like you say, tomasz, it’s just leo who’d have to be convinced and the best konig artur can get in the situation is the same jeleń got: a game in the nt just to be dropped again.
