Polish Video Flash.

Sorry guys for the lack of new notes lately, but I’ve got the first chapter of my MA paper to hand in on Thursday and, therefore, I’m very short of time. This note is also only a video flash of the latest achievements of Polish players. I promise comprehensive reports about friendlies against Lithuania and Wales. Until then.

Artur Boruc’s penalty kick against Dundee:

Gol Boruca – co na to awrence z Arabii
Załadował: roland_c

Marek Saganowski’s mid week goal for Southampton:

Marek Saganowski’s weekend double:

Artur Wichiarek’s 11th goal of the season:

Other news: Jakub Wawrzyniak moved to Panathinaikos for 1,5M euros becoming the only attention worthy transfer of a Polish player in the winter window. I believe that it’s not an accidental move from the Greeks and that they prepare a place in the starting lineup for our left back. Marcin Komorowski is the most serious candidate to fill in the spot left by Wawrzyniak in the Legia squad.

The second interesting move may be Jacek Krzynowek’s transfer to Legia Warsaw, but first he has to accept their contract offer. Krzynowek ought to move; Felix Magath certainly doesn’t count on him, he sent Krzyniu to the stands in Wolfsburg’s last game.

Piotr Reiss, a former Polish international and Lech Poznan’s legend, was arrested today for taking part in corruption scandal in 2003/04 season. Since they weren’t threatened by relegation, Lech players sold the games to those in need. Reiss was a captain of this Lech team. I’m really pissed off, Reiss was one of my favorite Ekstraklasa players.

Surprisingly, Ebi Smolarek played for half an hour in Bolton’s last game, but was once again unable to get on the scoresheet.

Transfers of Sebastian Przyrowski to Tottenham and Jaroslaw Fojut to Slask Wroclaw won’t happen. Spurs brought in Carlo Cudicini from Chelsea, whereas Fojut, or rather his new manager, didn’t accept Slask’s contract offer.

Cracovia’s Marek Wasiluk replaced Jakub Wawrzyniak in the squad for the Lithuania game, whereas Szymon Pawlowski was called up for the injured Dawid Nowak. As far as I remember it’s the third time that Nowak got injured just before a national team game he was called up for.

Filip Modelski will be out for the rest of the season due to injury:

“promising Polish full-back Filip Modelski will be sidelined for the remainder of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.”
http://www.whufc.com/page/News/0,,12562~1530917,00.html

That’s too bad, he seemed to be making nice progress. Apparently he turned 16 in October, and only a month later he was promoted to the U18s and seemed to be playing there regularly until his injury.

In other news, the following article claims that Napoli may have acquired 50% co-ownership of Bartosz Salamon. But I’m not sure about the reliability of this new source considering they can’t even spell his name right…

http://www.napolisoccer.net/5694/ultime-ore-di-calciomercato/
“At the end of the market comes another blow “prospective” and always from Brescia. The news today, according to the announcement of napolipress.com would un’indiscrezione arrived from Lombardia that Napoli was revealed from Rondinelle fifty percent of the card of giant Salomon, one meter high and nineties Polish, central midfielder, born May 1 1991. Observers talk of a classic a director, with good feet and good personality. In 5 appearances this season for him, including 4 from the 3 yellow cards on his behalf.”

Obraniak says he’s still interested in playing for the Polish NT but the clowns at the PZPN have never directly contacted him.

I’m trying to find out whether Pawel Wojciechowski is still injured or if he’s no longer considered good enough for Heerenveen’s bench. Nothing came up on Google News except an article from Pilka Nozna but as usual, the Polish media is useless. All they say is, he was not on the bench but they never give us the reason.

Lukas Jutkiewicz has gone on loan to Huddersfield Town in League One. It’s a bit disappointed that he didn’t get a loan to a Championship club but on the other hand, he’ll probably get much more playing time at Huddersfield.

Sorry for the quadruple posting lol.

It’s so frustrating…Arshavin signed for Arsenal today…seriously almost every Eastern European country has a player playing for a top club…except us :( And it’s been like that for years…

^On November 19th against Ireland. You might me thinking “That’s ages ago!” but the ekstraklasa ended on 7 december and hasn’t started yet.
I’m confident in Robert becoming a good footballer in, for example the Eredevisie. If he proves himself there, he has a chance to join a big club.

^Lewandowski should really leave in the summer though, or his talent could be wasted.

^Don’t bother, that site is unproffesional, and full of lies.

Examples:

-Blaszczykowski transfer to Real Madrid.
-Leo returns as Feyenoord coach, taking Smolarek, Lobodzinski and Murawski with him.

Can anyone explain why Leo has the team training in Portugal? Is it the weather only? I mean, wouldn’t it be nice to have some friendlies in Poland where there would be more fans cheering for you? Or at least closer to Poland?

Tomek, to be fair, Polish Soca doesn’t have much to be choose from. Almost all Polish newspapers are closer to tabloids than professional news sources.

adas, it’s unknown why Portugal was chosen. Perhaps Wales wanted that location.

Young left-back Bartlomiej Pacuszka (Twente Enschede) has gone on loan to Heracles Almelo. Seems reasonable, hopefully he’ll finally get some playing time in the Eredivisie.

Ok, I take that back, since onet.pl has some hilarious articles too. Even worse than goal.com . There’s still something strange about that polishsoca site though… Wondering, do they really sell those magazines they’re advertising?

Thanks guys for keeping the blog alive during my absence.
@Marcin
When I can’t find the goals on the youtube I can usually find them on sides like nasinajlepsi.pl, reprezentacja.com.pl, sport.pl or mundialowo.blox.pl
