@Alek
The only difference between Krol and Augustyn is that the former played regularly for Polish youth teams (the same applies to Matuszek). I read an interview with Krol after he signed a contract with Jagiellonia and he said that he did it to catch Leo's eye. Janota is still a mystery for me, but all the facts point to the conclusion that he's a good prospect. Janczyk has to score in the next couple of games. Krzyniu has to go anywhere, Legia, Wisla or FC Koeln will do.
@M.Zurawski
I also read this interview with Grant. I think Boruc wouldn't have agreed to move to Chelsea only to be Cech's backup. At the moment, if somebody wants to but Boruc they have to prepare a lot of money and nr 1 shirt. Tottenham was an option but I read somewhere that they purchased Gomes from PSV. Aston Villa won't spend as much money on a goalie. Milan is also out of contention. It seems that Boruc will stay in Glasgow and build his monument there.
This Footbal Icon programme seems to be a great idea. Apart from finding really talented youngsters it could also create a fashion for football in Poland. But the most important question for broad casters is: would it sell?

So i read an interesting bit last night; an interview with Grant mentioning Boruc. He was apparently looking into bringing Boruc to Chelsea to cover for Cech. I don't really think Boruc would make a good backup at this point, it would make him reckless, i think. But what interested me is Grant saying that no team is willing to spend 10-15 million pounds of a keeper. And that flabbergasts me. A keeper, especially a quality keeper, seems to me the soundest investment of all. More so then a striker, especially when a team builds from the back. Look at the Spurs for example. Berbatove and Keene scored a lot of goals, no doubt, but what did it get them? Very little other then the Carling Cup. So i'm just puzzled by the mentality of the Premier League. (and of course, i'm biased).

Another thing. I was watching Football Icons the other day. For those who don't know what it is, in essence, it is a football reality show. They take hundreds of young kids (teenagers) from throughout the UK and put them though a variety of tests and paces and such, score them on their speed skill and such, whittle them down to finalists and finally a winner who is offered a contract at Chelsea. And i though, why couldn't we do something similar in Poland? It would be cheap, would bring in decent ratings to the digital provider and could potentially unearth some gems. I for one would rather watch that then the soaps.

Krzysztof Krol reminds me of Blazej Augustyn last season. He was suppose to be Polands new center defender and start most games for Legia, and he started barely any. I'm really excited about the Janota prospect, just hope he doesnt blow his chance. Looks like my old favorite Janczyk will actually start starting for CSKA, too bad they suck now. Of course as you already started Krzynowek needs to transfer i could care less where I wish Legia but they wouldnt. But Wisla just seems to be falling apart too bad no one seems interested in Zienczuk.
