They proved that the offence is not anaemic. I hate to be a pessimist but I still don’t know why Krzynowek and Bosacki got the start. Yeah, you could say that Leo wasn’t taking any chances. We all know how sensitive he can get to media criticism. Krzynowek actually play rather well at times. Was Leo managing to save his job or just to impress Lato? I like that he expects better from the squad and that he wasn’t happy with the way the game finished. The defence made the opposition look like superstars. They were strong in the second half up until about the 85th minute. I think that its up to Leo to get the players minds right and not let up at the end of games because of a lead. The midfield was very frustrating to watch. There was lot of terrible passes. Not surprisingly, Mariusz Lewandowski was the main culprit. I really believe that his skill set suits him better as defender. I would swap him with Dudka. I liked that Jodlowiec got a chance to play. Although the penalty was a bad foul, you don’t mind him making that mistake (once) in a friendly. What a goal by Robert Lewandowski. The rest of the team played great. I was pleasantly surprised with Jakub Wawrzyniak. In the future, I would love to see Brozek matched up with R. Lewandowski up front and Kuba, Smolarek and Roger playing behind them. What can you say about Kuba. He was not fazed by the defensive pressure and did not lose his cool or dribble. That was Ireland’s tactic, to pressure the guy with the ball. It worked by causing problems for the defence. I feel bad for Wojciech Szczęsny I hope that this won’t affect his development too much. It was an exciting game. Gargula and Boguski are in better shape, they deserved to get the run in the first team in front of him. I think Majewski would've entered the field if it wasn't for the fact that Leo really wanted to achieve a good result in Dublin. I hope we'll see Maja in the upcoming friendlies; though he's not making as big progress as I expected half a year ago.
