Michal Janota Delivers.
I read lately an article on the Dutch Blog on how many young talents they possess. Polish football, on the other hand, is not known for wunderkids spread around Europe. That’s why we’re so thrilled with Michal Janota, a guy who at 18 already scores for the Feyenoord senior team.
Ok, Janota is far less renowned than guys like Bojan, Giovanni dos Santos, Pato, Walcott, Vela or even his teammate at Feyenoord: Gerginio Wijnaldun. But he’s Polish. So far our players who were transfered abroad at a young age struggled to break through. Remember Maciej Terlecki and Bartosz Karwan at Anderlecht in the early 90s? Marek Saganowski at Feyenoord and HSV? Jaroslaw Fojut, Tomasz Cywka and Dawid Janczyk rarely make the bench for Bolton, Wigan and CSKA Moscow respectively. Blazej Augustyn, former Bolton player, returned to Poland and turned out to be shit. Our Real Madrid trio, Krzysztof Krol, Szymon Matuszek and Kamil Glik, are currently playing for mediocre Polish teams and they’re not even stars there. What I mean is that, usually, there’s more hype than substance around those players. We can’t watch them week in, week out so we start to imagine that they’re better than they really are. That’s how much we’re starving for good, young Polish players to strengthen the national team. That’s how much we want a better future for the Bialo Czerwoni.
The case may be different with Janota. Of course, he’s only a bench warmer at Feyenoord at the moment. However, so far everything in his career is going according to plan. He’s been a star in every Polish youth team that he played for. He earned a transfer to one of the best youth training systems in Europe. He did well for Feyenoord’s youth teams. He advanced to the senior team at 18. He already played his first game in the Eredivisie. He scored his first goals in what was only his 4-5th official senior game. That’s a model career path if you ask me. Maybe, just MAYBE, we are witnessing a birth of a player who’ll be one of the leaders of our 2012 team.
Not to get carried away, remember that Janota scored against Top Oss , not a top Dutch team.
Here are Janota’s goals, the first one shows his potential.
Oh, I may have problems with regular posting next week due to accomodation issues. Keep the comments alive.

Its exciting to see our boys playing abroad and finding success. I like the trend of our youngsters going to respectable programs early but not forgetting where they came from. The next wave of players should bring a level of respectability on the world stage. At the present moment, we don’t have that world class name. Thank God for Kuba and Boruc. However, it does look good with the next group of players coming through.

Fojut doesn’t look to have turned out so bad he at least regularly makes the bench for Bolton, and Jutkiewicz is usually on the bench for Everton, but I don think that either have had a cap yet though.

great article, beenhakker has to start investing in the little young talent we have, so hopefully in 2012 we wont be embarrassed

How could the germans get him? The dutch cant really take him either because hes only been in Holland for 2 years

Chill out guys I was just joking
I was waching the game, and after Janota scored the two goals, my friend said that he looks to become a very good player. After that, he said: Watch out! He can join Podolski and Klose tommorow!
That ticked me off for a few moments, but I realised quickly that it was pretty much impossible

It’s true that our other prospects seem to be struggling but it’s too soon to write them off. Fojut should be free to sign a contract with a new club in December. Remember seeing it mentioned somewhere that he was named MOM against a Premiership team (Everton?), it was some cup match when he was on loan at Luton but it does show that he has the ability to play against top class opposition.
How long is Janczyk’s contract with that Russian club? I don’t think the problem is that he’s not talented enough, he simply made a poor choice and I believe he’ll get his career back on track once he gets a move. The problem is that Russian clubs are very difficult to deal with, they may just let him rot rather than grant him a transfer…

I just read that Sosin is suppose to get a call up to the nt. Seems like a lie since he plays in Cyprus so not the best player even to choose for a rumor. O and the article also said Jodlowiec is getting into the nt which seems fair.

Here we go again, Rafael Benitez said he wants to bring Kuba in. Borussia Dortmund only want a money offer and doesn’t want Degen, offered by Liverpool in exchange. It looks like its gaining steam.
Artur Krysiak is apparently on loan at Swansea.

Where did you hear this? I haven’t heard anything about Blaszczykowski and Liverpool after they bought Riera. O and Jelen scored today to let you know

Apparently Benitez said he will target him again in January. This been discussed in Liverpool forums and http://footylatest.com/news/news.php?extend.2271. I don’t know how reliable that website is. I think it will be a wait and see scenario.
Wichniarek scored as well with “spectacular goal from a sharp angle.” Too bad he was offside.

First goal of Janota was very good. He was closing left wing, stayed open, then when ball got to him he showed nice control and took his time to put defender down. Nice nice goal for young player playing first match on bigger stage,

If only he does not turn out to be a SMOLAREK that does not score in the EPL but maybe through time he will be a good soccer player? I hope!!!!!
