@M.Zurawski
I've also already announced that I'm not available in June. You have to have your priorities set, right?
@Tomek
Modric case is an extreme one, in my opinion. I think that the last time when a player from a minor league was valued as high was when Sheva and Rebrov were leaving Dynamo Kiev. There was a huge hype about Modric in whole of Europe. Sadly, not a lot people outside Poland know about Majewski, Blaszczykowski, Brozek or Dudka so we can't expect high prices for them, 3M is the highest we can expect for me. Moreover, it's hard to judge player's potential only on the basis of the Polish league and Majewski didn't play in CL or important nt matches. I think we're still to learn about the scale of his talent.
@Deeley Baggie
That's really interesting, now the Majewski rumour holds water a bit more. I didn't have a chance to watch West Brom this year so I based my opinion on what I saw while watching the Saints last season or Championship teams in FA Cup this season. On the other hand, I should have known that Tony Mowbray doesn't play direct, long balls. I remember his Hibernian team very well as I saw some of their games; he managed to collect a lot of talent (O'Connor, Riordan, Brown, Caldwell, Whitaker, Murphy, Sproule, Thomson) that was later sold for a lot of money. They had this passing style. Wasn't Mowbray the one who brought Zemanna to Hibs; Majewski resembles him a bit.

Tomasz, There was recently a debate in England as to whether you can get out of the championship by playing fluent, passing football as most teams in this division play a direct, long ball approach. West Brom have played fluent, passing football all season and have won the Championship by doing this (We have been likened to Arsenal in our style of play). Tony Mowbray will not buy any player who does not have technical ability that is why we are linked to players like Majewski.

Modric went to Spurs from Dymano Zagrzeb for 10M. I believe that Polish teams would fetch better prices for players like Majewski or Blaszczykowski if they were a little bit more patient. Why even entertain offers from teams like WBA when Majewski is about to be named for Poland's squad for EURO 08? I know Mr. Drzymala is a very prudent businessman which leads me to believe this rumor is complete BS (Super Express !!!). Anyways I really enjoy reading your blog. Good stuff.

Yes, the transfer season is a beautiful thing, not to mention the tourney to spur them on. I've officially booked half of June off, can't wait.
