Kuba Blaszczykowski Injured.
The unavoidable had to happen, we’ve got the first more serious injury on the preparatory camp. And who else than Kuba Blaszczykowski who had a lot of injury problems this season and went so far even to criticise his club’s (Borussia Dortmund) medical staff.
Everybody knew that something was wrong when Kuba hobbled off the field during the last friendly game against FC Schaffhausen. For the last two days all the Bialo Czerwoni fans lived in uncertainty. After today’s medical examination we’re no longer in the dark: Kuba won’t play in the friendlies before the Euros but it’s possible he’ll be ready for the game against Germany. Blaszczu outstretched his left leg’s biceps muscle (if I got the medical info right); fortunately it’s not the same injury he suffered during the season. I say we pray that he’s ready for the Germans; Kuba is our most dynamic player and the best dribbler (Roger is quite close). He offers something unexpected and spectacular in our offense. His backup, Wojciech Lobodzinski, is capable of putting a good performance but I don’t rate him as a player who can change a course of a game. Get well Kuba, we’re counting on you.
Some interesting opinions from Leo in today’s press conference. First of all, he’s stunned by Zurawski’s form (in a positive way, of course). Lobodzinski was also singled out for praise. On contrary, not so good news for Radek Matusiak; Leo called his form at the beginning of the camp a catastrophe. Now it looks a bit better, but Matusiak must work hard to convince Leo to include him in the squad. At the same time Beenhakker is praising Radek’s talent and potential. I think that it’s a smart psychological move by our coach, he’s signalling that he expects more from the Heerenveen striker. Now it’s up to Matusiak to deliver, fair play. As for Bronowicki’s injury, he’s chances of playing in the Euros are 50/50. Our physio says that the final decision will be made on wednesday. Leo lists Wawrzyniak, Golanski and Zewlakow (although he wants him to play in the centre) as possible options at left back. None of them look convincing to me, I wouldn’t like to lose Zewlakow in the centre. Finally, Roger’s name has been changed by players to Jasiu Rogerski. A good proof that everything’s well with the morale inside the team. Now it’s time to show this morale on the field.

Kuba better be able to come in as a sub at least against Germany. Huge disaster if he cannot play, because like you said he is one of the keys to our attack. i really wanted to see how him, roger, kryznowek, zurawski, and ebi all linked up.
i wonder what matusiak will do if gets cut? i remember him saying before his loan to wisla that if he couldn’t refind his for that he had at gks he would retire from football.
anyways, shitty again that kuba is out, but we need to be able to play with out him. his injuries are becoming annoying this year, hopefully he can stay healthy from now on. it doesnt look too serious, but he could just tear it again his first game back and be done for euros….

Deyna199 you listed all our players able to do something from nothing. Not a huge number, is it? That’s why it’s so important that Kuba recovers in time. Even if, he won’t take part in friendlies and preparations and may not, consequently, start against Germans. I’ll have a closer look on Lobo from now on. The bottom line is that, though unnatural, Ebi or Krzyniu may play there. Matusiak won’t end his career obviously, there’s still a lot of money to be earned. I’m very disappointed with him; he looked quite good against Estonia or the USA. I don’t know what happened to him but the last games for Wisla and our friday’s friendly were just horrible. As for Kuba’s injuries, it’s very often a case with dynamic players, remember Olisadebe? Or maybe he didn’t warm up well before the game.

I agree Kuba is a great futbol player. I just think that people shouldn’t pressure him into recovering ASAP. An injury is dangerous and if it’s not healed all the way it can get worse. I rather not have him play for a few games than not having him play at all. Keep in mind people that the guy is human his not a machine. He feels the same pain, just like me and you. I’ll rather see him healthy and smiling and not sad and with pain.
Kuba concentrate on your well being and not on everyone pressuring you. ![]()
