Janota And Matusiak On The Scoresheet In Friendlies.
Good news came from Holland. Michal Janota scored on his debut for Feyenoord, whereas Radoslaw Matusiak started his fight for Heerenveen’s first eleven with a goal in a friendly.
Janota played in the second half of Feyenoord’s 9-1 win over Oirschot Vooruit and scored a goal for 7-1. Twenty two Feyenoord players took part in the game so we can conclude that at this point all potential first team members were given a chance. Even better that Janota raised his chances of being included in the senior team with a goal. His manager said after the game that Michal played as a left midfielder, was satisfied with his performance but claimed that he can do better at the same time. If you speak Dutch you can read the game’s review here. There’s also a link to a video there, but Janota’s goal is not included in it (the cameraman probably fell asleep).
Radoslaw Matusiak started his season’s preparation for Heerenveen with a goal in a friendly against Gaasterlân-Sleat (damn those Dutch names) . That may be the most important season in Radomatu’s career. Last year and a half was horrible for him and if he wants to prove that he wasn’t a one season wonder it’s now or never. Radek will probably get his chance this term; firstly because Heerenveen paid 3M for him a year ago and want to make some money back, secondly because thay sold their best striker Miralem Sulejmani to Ajax. Consequently, Matusiak should find it easier to compete for a place in the squad. Once again, if you speak Dutch there’s a review of the game here. For everybody interested, you’ll find highlights from the game here.
In other news, Aston Villa bought a new goalie Brad Guzman for 2M. Basically, it means that there’s as much as 1% chance of Artur Boruc’s transfer this summer. First of all, Villa was one of the clubs interested in our Holy Goalie. Moreover, there were also interested in Paul Robinson, who Tottenham wanted to get rid of and listed Boruc as a possible replacement. Now, Villa has the new keeper, Robinson stays at Spurs and Boruc remains at Celtic. Another step for Artie to become one of the Bhoys all time legends.
Our youth team’s right back Ben Starosta returned to Sheffield United from loan and was included in the senior team roster for this season’s preparations. I never rated Starosta very higly after 2007 Youth World Cup, but I hope he’ll prove me wrong this season.
Even though Jo and Wagner Love no longer play for CSKA Moscow Dawid Janczyk sat on the bench for the whole derby game against Spartak this weekend. Surprising and sad news this. If Murzyn can’t get a game in such circumstances he should apply for a loan move as soon as possible. It shouldn’t be a problem, he’s still a very renowned player after 2007 Youth World Cup.
Adam Kokoszka still hasn’t signed a contract with anybody. Stay tuned.

Janota came on as a sub for the friendly game against Groot Goes where Feyenoord lead only 2:1. Janota played as a Forward/Attacking Mid scored 2 goals and had 3 assists, all in front of Don Leo who was there watching the game.

Yeah, I just read about it. It’s only a friendly against amateurs, but Janota really impresses in the friendlies. After all, maybe he’ll receive his chance in the senior team this season.
