The determination in the eyes of the Polish players was just incredible! They all wanted to show that they were better than their record showed, while the US players had that scared deer in the headlights look, as if terrified of the chance of advancing out of the group stage. If Polish players had always played with the same kind of attitude that they displayed against the US, Poland might have been the World Cup champions at least two times already. But sadly, and I think it is some kind of a national trait, they're at their best when the casue has already been lost.
