Absolutely, but the fact remains that the liverpool reserve is worth more then ten times the Wisla first team, so why not be happy with a draw?

Of course the game would have looked diffferently if it was competetive, no doubt about that. Still, there were some classy players on the pitch on the side of the Reds, very rarely Polish league players have an opportunity to play against the likes of Carragher, Mascherano, Aurelio, Babel, Benayoun or Lucas. Even Liv backup players like Leto or Plessis would be stars in the Polish league. We can’t make an assumption that the result would be similar during CL qualifiers, but it was a tough test after all.

A draw against a top four is impressive yes, but not really if they don’t seem to care for the friendly and play allot of youngsters. The real Liverpool squad would most likely be Reina – Aurelio Charragher Hyppia/Skretel Arboleda – Babel Lucas Mascherano/Alonso Gerrard – Kuyt Torres of those 2 started and latter on (mostly at half time) annother 5 were subbed on. They never included Gerrard or Torres so if they played no doubt Wisla would get raped. They played allot of young players like Darby, Plessis, Spearing, Insua, Martin, Hobbs. So essentially the game turned into the Superpuchar today, yes Legia won but its not much of a victory if you only beat Wisla’s 2nd team.

They played a good game first half. Like you said Tomasz, they had good movement and sharp counters, it was almost entertaining. Shame about the disallowed goal. I have a sneaking suspicion we’d have been dog-meat if the ‘pools spaniards woulda been there. But good on us anyway, a draw against a top four is impressive whether its a friendly or not.

Regarding Grosicki, appears my info earlier is wrong, from the official Sion forum,
- he arrived late to training, seemed physically ok but didn’t train
- possibly recovering from a recent sinus operation

They’re not really sure what’s going on with him but it doesn’t appear serious.

Shit, that’s very bad news about Jutkiewicz. I hope it’s only some minor allergy and he’ll get through it. Everton medics should be of a higher quality than those in Plymouth, maybe they’ll find an answer. It certainly affects his career.

Grosicki is injured.

About Jutkiewicz, there was an article a few months ago in which Plymouth’s manager explained that Lukas had some illness that they were never able to properly identify but apparently it affects his stamina. It appears he hasn’t completely recovered yet, Everton fans say he looked like he was going to collapse from exhaustion and had to be taken off.
