I am humbled. I don’t know where i picked up that stat and i did not check it before posting. I am lame, and am worthy of your punishment, most favored readers.

My only excuse is that i’ve been working far too much and sleeping far too little lately. But more succinctly:

Duh.

And the 1-1 draw against Mexico? Again…well, i suck. I was watching that freaking game in Alaska with a bunch of Mexican dudes. I remember the game. Did i mention that i’ve been working a lot and not sleeping enough? O, yeah, and i’m getting old. And i think i’m coming down with something…

Thank god i was fearless, eh? Even fearless of correct facts…

(I’ll fix those bits of “trivia” now, too… again, thanks for the corrections, everyone; i’m an idiot.)

Sorry OS Davis, but a couple of corrections:

- In 94 Italy tied 1-1 against Mexico in the final game of group play
- Brazil won the ‘58 World Cup in Sweden

The rest seems pretty nice although it’s definitely a reach to have the USA reaching the semis (you thought I was going to say something about Poland, hahaha, I’m Mexican I also dream my team can reach the final someday)

Except for Brazil win over the Swedish team in Sweden, 1958 final, right? Well, sorry about ruining the “most compelling stat”. I know it was a long, long time ago, but I believe it can be done again, he he.
