portugal end here. they’ve been weaker and weaker ever since 2004. Deco, Maniche are useless, no Figo, no pauleta, only ronaldo can lead the team. as a whole, they’ve already reached their top.

the czechs and the turks will qualify further

gr. B.
the Germans end here. they are gonna lose on sunday, which wake up the deamons of previous euros and they’ll be boiled. croatia is a perfect team to stop them, as they already have in 1998. the croats will top the group with poland just behind them

gr C.
either france or italy end here. one of the favourites must go, as they both are temporarily fed up with sucess after germany 2006. besides, france have an aged team. they did their best two years ago. but I predict italy will not qualify out of these two, as they did in 1996 in england, after winning vice-world championship in the u.s.

romania will be the black horse of this group. they have nothing to lose, hence,little preassure. and they really can play well.

I agree with tomek.

poland is lucky, because we can beat the czechs i the quarterfinal, and then we come across croatia again. we may lose in the group, but this time
around is gonna be different. that’s how we get to the final, where we meet some powerhouse. I predicted spain but it’s rather wishful thinikg. anyways, here the hill gets too steep for us and we finish 2nd in the whole tournament.

Ian, group A is one of the tricky ones. 4 teams that are quite even I would say. Porygal finished behind Poland in the qualifiers and had lots of problems against the likes of Serbia or Finland. And now it will be even harder for them. Can’t wait for the tournament to start.

I’ve been holding out on my bracket until Friday afternoon.. Who knows what developments await! I know the injuries in the Italy (Canna ) and Holland squads have changed my (in-my-head) bracket…

My groups are a lot like yours, except that, even with home advantage, the Austrians finish last, and I’ve got Italy on top of the Grupo de la muerte. I want the Turks to be #2 in Group A, but I really also like the Swiss. If I could have everything, they’d both beat Portugal, but we can only wish for so much.
