Kuba made a very good game saturday,(his killer goal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6EXWdn-Lztk) I saw this game and he was a dominant player for Dortmund against Bayern, a Bundelsiga top team. Sure that if he will play this way in the Worldcup qualification, we will be in the good way. But we still need a dominant striker, who be able to create some noise. We need a player like Janczyk but with more experience. I think that we need to try him against San Marino, but I think that we also need a top scorer with experience like Wichniarek against Slovenia and Czech Republic. I know that he his old, but he has scored 3 goals in 2 games in a top league, he is actually in top shape so we need him now, as we don't have many real strikers in the lineup.
Bad news, Smolarek was injured the knee during the friendly match against the Ukraina.

Chris put a post on the worldcupblog.org main page saying that Leo said Boruc won't play with the team while he's in charge. I feel this is misinformation. It can't be true.

Wow. Polish guys drinking. Not exactly news, is it? I think the Polish FA should lighten up. The "Holy Goalie" is top class and he's good a leader.

Wichniarek is haveing a good kick off to the season, no doubt. But at best he's a short term solution in my opinion. He's pushing thirty two and that's past apex for a striker, similar situation to Zuraw. The problem is we don't have too many alternatives. I hope Jelen gets another go, and Janczyk is brought into the fold. But good for both King Arthur and Blaszczykowski, they both had a good Saturday. Oh, and Jutkiewicz made the bench again for Everton. I'm certain he'll get a go this season.

Wichniarek 3 goals in 2 games, how much goals needed to have a ticket to NT? Who are actually our strikers in better shape than him ? Is it because Leo doesn't like him? Leo seems to have many individual problems with our NT... I'm affraid because we have to leave or die with him, and actually we look more death than alive....

I agree that discipline must be maintained but it still seems like a total overreaction, they didn't do anything really scandalous. Sounds like Leo is on a power trip... But who knows, maybe there's more to the story.

The problem is not that the players were drinking, after all none of them was found lying drunk in the streets of Lviv. The problem is that they didn't listen to Leo and acted like teens on a school trip. The discipline in the team must be kept and Leo just shows who's really in charge.

Ah, silly, something we don't need right now. I wonder if there's something happening between Boruc and Beenhakker.

Its nice to see the Polish FA and Beenhakker show some backbone. Don't get me wrong, the players in question are essential to any success as a team. I just hope that this sends a message to the younger players and gets them to take national football seriously. This shows that rules are in place for a reason and that Beenhakker is in charge. This would not be a big deal if they had already qualified or done something meaningful in the past (like play respectable football at the Euros).

From what I saw on the news, Dudka is denying any involvement.
