I agree, it should have been Janczyk. Sosin will be there simply to make up the numbers, there’s no way he’s going to be picked ahead of Jelen/Lewy/Sagan/Smolarek. Might as well have given that role to Janczyk who will be important for us in the future and could benefit from just being there and training with the team.

The idiots in the Polish media are insinuating that Blaszczykowski is a wimp for backing out of this past weekend’s match. I think, given his constant problems with that particular injury, it’s understandable and smart to take a few extra days off to let himself fully recover.

There’s speculation that Obraniak could be handed Polish citizenship in April. The PZPN appears confident that FIFA will agree to his switch (”just a formality.”)

I know i keep on bringing this up, but, Janczyk. I will be surprised if Sosin gets on the field, so why not just have Janczyk sit on the bench and boost the boys confidence!

Jelen made a bit of history by scoring a nice goal against Lyon. Auxerre managed to get another in, in the dying minutes of added time. Dudka played as well. He had a bad fall on his shoulder though, but continued playing afterward. I hope he truly shook it off, or that it was negligible. Though sad about Brozek hurting himself, i do not think it will have any impact on the national team. Whether Beenhakkers idea or media pressure, i think that the return of Jelen to the national team will be a very beneficial experiment. He seems red hot for the club, and i personally have not seen him give the ball away any more then anyone else. Either R. Lewandowski or Jelen should replace Brozek upfront if we are playing one up.
