Beenhakker: There Are Going To Be Surprises.
Is Leo once again playing with the media? Is he going to drop Boruc or Smolarek? Does he want to put even more pressure on the players? Is he going to repeat the Pawel Janas’ pattern from 2006?
Once I hooked you to the article I can honestly write that it will be neither of those. Leo is talking about surprises during the training camp. He doesn’t want the players to get bored, frustrated and kill each other. After all, they’re going to spend at least a month with each other (let’s pray that it’s going to be more). The first surprise for the players was a bicycle trip organised yesterday. Nice idea Leo.
Training camp isn’t the most entertaining time for journalists. They’re not allowed to watch the training sessions and, therefore, can’t write about who’s impressing and who’s a failure. We can only listen to players during the official press conferences, which are usually very boring and treated by them as a irritating obligation. However, I managed to find some interesting opinions expressed by the Bialo Czerwoni.
Jacek Bak claims that we may even play in the Euro champs final……provided we play as well as in the 2006’s game against Portugal. He is also praising Polish fans and calls us the best in the world (a common truth). He doesn’t want to experience the same let downs as in 2002 and 2006. Marek Saganowski is asked about competing with Radoslaw Matusiak for a place in the squad. Not surprisingly, he answers that he concentrates on his own performances in training and doesn’t try to do everything better than Radomatu. The best opinions come, of course, from Artur Boruc. When asked about Scottish journalists who call him a clown he answers that he doesn’t give a shit. He accuses Scottish media of being pro-Rangers and claims that if it was Celtic which lost the Uefa Cup final there would be no excuses for the team’s poor performance (apparently the Scottish media try to justify Rangers’ horrible output in the final). We can always count on Artie to say something interesting. Oh, and one more thing. Radoslaw Majewski boasted about performing a no-look pass during the training session. The whole of Poland is impressed Radek. This will, no doubt, make us favourites to win the group. Fear the no-look pass!

“Fear the no-look pass!” Best comment ever! Boruc is completly right when he says that the Scottish media is completly pro Rangers. Good thing he plays for Celtic which is a much better team and will probably win the Spl this season (hopefully).

I really hope Poland is going to play a good tournament in Austria-Switzerland! Congratulations by the way, this is the one of the only up-to-date websites in English that make it possible for those who dont speak polish, to follow the Polish national football team!
