Beenhakker and Smolarek Cash In On Our Euro Involvement.
There’s nothing better to prove a star status in the team than the number of commercials a particular player or manager is involved in. It turns out that the biggest star of the Polish team is……..our coach Leo Beenhakker. Not surprisingly, our best scorer, Ebi Smolarek, also received a modest piece of a commercial pie
Personally, I expected more players to be involved in the advertising campaigns. The fact that only Smolarek and Boruc (and maybe Zurawski) are recognized by your average Pole only proves that we are the team without individuals. That’s why our success is ascribed to the great leader and tactician: Leo Beenhakker. Here are Don Leo’s advertisment’s for BZWBK bank:
and beer’s Tyskie campaign of putting out Polish flags:
Smolarek, on the other hand, is involved in Pepsi ad:
and he also recommends Smasung’s LCD’s:
I also know that Artur Boruc is involved in McDonald’s ‘child escort’ action but I was unable to find his ad on the net (although I’ve seen it on TV). However, you can see this horrible trailer:
and a picture promoting the campaign (Artur looks quite slim there, doesn’t he?)

Moreover, Smolarek and Boruc have individual contracts with Puma, whereas Kuba Blaszczykowski plays for Nike. I already saw their billboards on the streets but was unable to find the pictures on the net.

No need for a Poland-Croatia war here so don’t waste our time FIFA2010 or whatever’s your name.
@ashkaa
I also remember the Tyskie campaign two years ago. It was funny because a lot of flags suddenly disappeared after our first game with Ecuador. I don’t want a sequel this year. All in all I find it a nice idea and will put out a flag myself once I get hold of it.

how could I forget! even the rapping style is similar in both clips (I guess norbi simply has no other one). the difference is, he once took Iwan and Świr to rap with him, so that he doesn’t look/sound that terrible. In the latest one, norbi is as horrible as ever.
how about this one?

I saw Torzewski live before one of the nt games and he really got the crowd going. Or were people just laughing? All in all, he got a response from the crowd. It’s a great story with Polsat, they wanted to keep this info secret so that people would buy their decoders. Look out, Gianni Hajto is gonna be one of their experts (along with Koza and our beloved Świr, I just hope Tata Kaluzny will be there as well). I’ve got all the channels lined up so there’s no way I can miss any of the games.
