Announced squad for friendlies vs. USA and Kaiserslautern!
Poland coach Paweł Janas will have soon great occasion to see 30 Poland players in matches with USA (first squad) and Kaiserslautern (second squad). Training camp starts on February 25 in Kaiserslautern and friendlies take place on February 28 and March 1 respectively.
Goalkeepers: Artur Boruc (Celtic), Jerzy Dudek (Liverpool), Wojciech Kowalewski (Spartak Moscow), Tomasz Kuszczak (West Bromwich Albion).
Defenders: Marcin Adamski (Rapid Vienna), Marcin Baszczynski (Wisla Krakow), Jacek Bak (Al-Rayan), Bartosz Bosacki (Lech Poznan), Mariusz Jop (FK Moscow), Tomasz Klos (Wisla Krakow), Marcin Kus (Queen’s Park Rangers), Tomasz Rzasa (ADO Den Haag), Michal Zewlakow (Anderlecht).
Midfielders: Piotr Giza (Cracovia), Damian Gorawski (FK Moscow), Kamil Kosowski (Southampton), Jacek Krzynowek (Bayer Leverkusen), Mariusz Lewandowski (Shachtar Donieck), Sebastian Mila (Austria Vienna), Arkadiusz Radomski (Austria Wieden), Euzebiusz Smolarek (Borussia Dortmund), Radoslaw Sobolewski (Wisla Krakow), Miroslaw Szymkowiak (Trabzonspor), Maciej Scherfchen (Lech Poznan), Marcin Zajac (Groclin Dyskobolia Grodzisk).
Forwards: Tomasz Frankowski (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Andrzej Niedzielan (NEC Nijmegen), Grzegorz Rasiak (Southampton), Lukasz Sosin (Apollon Limassol), Maciej Zurawski (Celtic).
Actually, no suprises are included here, maybe except for Łukasz Sosin, who may earn his first cap for Poland.
Whom I really miss here is Argentinian-born Mauro Cantoro who may join the list of midfielders. Hopefully, he’ll join the team prior to next friendlies…
